Abraham, Stieglitz make weight

PanARMENIAN.Net - Hammer-fisted super middleweight titleholder Arthur Abraham weighed 168 pounds for Saturday's defense of his WBO belt against 167.6-pound Robert Stieglitz that will happen on EPIX from GTEC Arena in Magdeburg, Sachsen-Anhalt, Germany, ringtv.craveonline.com reported.

A 33-year-old former IBF middleweight titleholder, Abraham (36-3, 28 knockouts) dethroned Stieglitz by unanimous decision in August, and is coming off the first defense of his crown, an eighth-round stoppage of Mehdi Bouadla in December.

A 31-year-old who had made six defenses of the belt he won by 11th-round knockout over previously unbeaten Karoly Balzsay in August of 2009, Stieglitz (43-3, 24 KOs) is coming off last month's third-round knockout of Michal Nieroda.

Also on the Abraham-Stieglitz II card, heavyweight Robert "The Nordic Nightmare" Helenius (18-0, 11 KOs) weighed 238.8 pounds compared to 243.2 for rival Michael Sprott (37-19, 17 KOs).
