REGIONAL CONFERENCE ON ARMENIAN STUDIES HELD IN RUSSIAN PYATIGORSK

PanARMENIAN.Net - "Main directions of development of Armenian Studies as a science at the current stage" conference was held in Pyatigorsk and convoked rather large number of participants. Such a measure organized by the Stavropol regional branch of the Union of Armenians of Russia, Pyatigorsk Armenian national and cultural community and "Armenistika" club of fans of the world and national history was held in Stavropol for the first time. As reported by "Yerkramas" newspaper of Armenians of the south of Russia, a large number of reports were heard, among which were "History of Armenian settlement in the North Caucasus," "The formation and development of the Armenian diaspora of Stavropol region and current ethno-political processes," "The role of Armenian scientists in the making of the spas of Caucasian Mineralnie Vodi city," "The Armenian Church and its impact on the mentality of the Armenian people," "Participation of Armenian generals in military operations in the North Caucasus" and many others.
