Iran wishes success to current Karabakh mediation format

PanARMENIAN.Net - Tehran is ready to take every effort in promoting peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict, Iran’s Senior Deputy Foreign Minister said.

As Ramin Mehmanparast told a news conference in Yerevan, Iran has always expressed readiness to assist Armenia and Azerbaijan, should the countries address Tehran with a request of mediation.

“However, Iran wishes success to the current mediatory format of Karabakh settlement,” he said, reiterating the need for political settlement of the issue through a dialogue.

As Mehmanparast stressed in conclusion, provision of peace and stability is in the interests of all countries in the region.
