Russian Spirit with Armenian Accent

PanARMENIAN.Net - The team World Chess Championship is over in Beer Sheva city, Israel. The tour between the teams of Russia and China (men) was in focus of attention, as the winner will be decided in it. It should be reminded that a round before the Chinese men got stuck on the Armenian team, which resulted in a chance to the Russian team to compete for the first place. Russian chess players worked wonders by defeating the Chinese 3.5:0.5 and became World Chess Champions.



Drawing with the Cuban team 2:2, the Armenian team occupied the third place. It should be noted that our team played well on the whole and yielded only to the champions, while playing draw games with Championship outsiders.



The rest of the final round games were as follows: Israel - US 1.5:2.5, Georgia - Ukraine 1.5:2.5.
