Lebanese envoy says cooperation with Armenia important

PanARMENIAN.Net - Newly-appointed Lebanese ambassador Jean Makaron presented the copy of his credentials to acting Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Congratulating the envoy on his appointment, Mr. Nalbandian voiced hope that he will contribute to the strengthening of Armenian-Lebanese friendly ties, hailing the implementation of the new programs, RA MFA press service reported.

Ambassador Makaron, in turn, pledged to deepen cooperation in different fields, stressing the importance of the expansion of relations with Armenia. The envoy highlighted Armenian community’s role in the development of the country.

Developments in the Middle East, particularly in Syria were further discussed.
