Inhon rolls out ‘world's lightest & thinnest laptop’ April 22, 2013 - 17:50 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Taiwanese manufacturer Inhon has launched what it claims is the world's lightest and thinnest laptop, Digital Spy said. The Blade 13 Carbon notebook is just 12.88mm thin and weighs in at 1.9lbs (870g), but boasts high-end hardware specs. Running the Windows 8 operating system, the PC features a 1080p HD screen, Intel i5 or i7 processors, up to 256GB of SSD storage and 4GB of RAM. It comes housed in a svelte Carbon frame and is 2mm slimmer than nearest rival the NEC Lavie X and a full pound lighter than Apple's 13-inch MacBook Air. The Blade 13 Carbon will go on sale in Taiwan for $1,350 (£886) but an overseas release remains unconfirmed, Engadget reports. A cheaper model made from fibreglass with lesser specs will also be available, weighing in at a heavier 2.6lbs.
