“Melancholia” star Alexander Skarsgård in “The East” thriller image April 23, 2013 - 15:36 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Alexander Skarsgård and Ellen Page appear in new images from The East, Digital Spy said. Zal Batmanglij's thriller stars Brit Marling as Sarah Moss, an intelligence agent who is assigned to protect the interests of large corporations, and goes undercover in an anarchist collective. Moss begins to sympathise with the group's mission, and develops a bond with its charismatic leader Benji (Skarsgård), incurring the jealousy of fellow group member Izzy (Page). As was the case with 2011's Sound of My Voice, The East was co-written by Batmanglij and Marling. Jason Ritter, Patricia Clarkson and Julia Ormond also star in the film, which will be released on May 31 in the US.
