Armenian CEC Published Early Returns of Constitution ReferendumNovember 28, 2005 - 21:06 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The Central Election Commission of Armenia has published the early returns of the referendum on making amendments to the Constitution of Armenia. According to the CEC protocol, the number of people having suffrage in Armenia was 2 317 351, the number of ballots provided to district election commissions was 2 364 469. The number of the vote participants (according to the number of signatures) was 1 513 541, while 20 360 ballots were recognized invalid. 849 525 ballots were destroyed. 1 411 791 constituents voted for the passage of the constitutional reforms, while 82 159 were against. The number of inaccuracies totaled 1 080. The CEC protocol was signed by 7 out of the 8 Commission members present at the session. Justice opposition faction representative Felix Khachatryan refused to sign the protocol.
