Office of Armenia Honorary Consul Opened in Mumba

PanARMENIAN.Net - The solemn opening ceremony of the Office of Armenia's Honorary Consul Harshad Mehta was held in Mumba (India) November 28, RA MFA press office reported. Armenian Ambassador to India Ashot Kocharian, Secretary General of Makharashta state Prekumar, Armenian Foreign Minister's wife Nani Oskanian and Honorary Consul himself delivered speeches. Nani Oskanian handed Mr. Mehta a RA passport for special stay and conveyed to him RA Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian's congratulations on the appointment and office opening. Upon completion of the ceremony RA Ambassador rendered a news conference to brief on the bilateral Armenian-Indian relations and answered the journalists' questions. It should be noted that Harshad Mehta allotted the Armenian Church of Mumba 500 thousand Indian rupees (about $11 000).
