The survey shows 74 percent of Moldovans trust Putin, another 49 percent of the respondents favor German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and some 47 percent of Moldovans support US President Barack Obama. The Moldovan politicians lag behind the foreign leaders, Russia's Ekho Moskvy radio station said, referring to the survey, which said the country’s former president Vladimir Voronin enjoys 18.5 percent of support.
