Navasargian will describe the painstaking process by which she has woven together this richly illustrated "narrative in pictures" of outstanding events and figures in Armenian history and legend. "The Immortals" follows the pattern of Navasargian's two earlier books: "Golden Bridges : Iran-Armenia" (1997), which reproduces artwork and biographies of Iranian-born Armenian painters, and "Armenian Women of the Stage" (1999), which describes Armenian women in the performing arts in the past and present, ALMA said in a press release. A native of Tabriz, Iran, Alice (Minassian) Navasargian grew up in a family that was heavily involved in Armenian cultural activities and causes. She studied music and art in Tabriz and received her Bachelor's degree in Armenology and History from the University of Isfahan. ![]() ![]() The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington.
