Adapted from the 2008 novel by Andre Dubus III (House of Sand and Fog), The Garden of Last Days explores family and sexual values over the course of a night set in a Florida strip club. In one of three interwoven stories, Clarke will play a stripper who brings her 3-year-old daughter to work. A July start is being eyed for the low-budget movie. Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen, the dragon-commanding princess trying to reclaim her family’s throne, in HBO’s hit fantasy Game of Thrones.
