Artsakh President signs decrees ahead of Victory Day

PanARMENIAN.Net - On May 2, President of the Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) Republic Bako Sahakyan signed several decrees on the occasion of the Victory Day, the Day of the NKR Defense Army and anniversary of the Liberation of Shushi.

5 individuals were awarded with the Medal For Courage for personal bravery shown during the defense of Artsakh.

For successful performance of combat missions, raising combat readiness of the forces as well as courage shown while defending state borders 224 individuals, 10 of them posthumously were awarded with the Medal For Service in Battle.

For personal bravery shown during the battles for the liberation of Shushi, 26 individuals, three of them posthumously were awarded with the Medal “For Liberation of Shushi”.

On the same day President Sahakyan signed an order on handing in valuable gifts to a group of Great Patriotic and Artsakh war veterans, Defense Army servicemen, relatives of perished freedom-fighters and missing in action soldiers, reported the Central Information Department at the Artsakh President's Office.
