Acting Mayor votes ‘for better Yerevan,’ rules out electoral bribes

PanARMENIAN.Net - Acting Mayor Taron Margaryan voted in City Council polls ‘for better Yerevan,’ expressing confidence for electoral victory of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia.

In a conversation with journalists Margaryan gave high assessment to RPA’s electoral campaign and city development programs, expressing certainty that Yerevan residents will have ‘the city of their dreams’ within the next 4 years.

In conclusion, the Acting Mayor ruled out the possibility of electoral bribes.

The law on municipal government stipulates for a 65-member Council elected for a 4-year term. The Council is responsible for electing Yerevan Mayor.
