Report on Constitutional Referendum in Armenia to Be Submitted to PACE Monitoring CommitteeDecember 15, 2005 - 13:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today the Monitoring Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe will discuss the issues referring to Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia. "The process of Georgia's honoring the commitments undertaken at the entry to the CoE and the report on the constitutional referendum in Armenia will be considered. Besides, the Monitoring Committee will raise the issue of terminating the authority of the Azerbaijani delegation to PACE," former member of the Armenian delegation to PACE Shavarsh Kocharian informed. In his words, the PACE rapporteurs on Azerbaijan Andreas Gross and Andreas Herkel raised the issue being extremely indignant with the situation created in Azerbaijan after the parliamentary election. "It is hard to foretell the decision of the Committee. According to the preliminary data, the Turkish and Russian delegations will vote against the proposal to terminate the authority of the Azerbaijani delegation. Azerbaijan itself has no right to vote," the Armenian parliamentarian said, RFE/RL reported.Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
