Armenian-Indian Intergovernmental Commission 4th Sitting to Be Held in Yerevan in 2006 SpringDecember 16, 2005 - 14:54 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Today Armenian Prime Minister Andranik Margaryan met with Indian Ambassador to Armenia Rina Pandei, RA government's press service reported. Congratulating Ms. Pandei with assuming the office, A. Margaryan noted that the development of multilateral relations with friendly India is acquiring greater importance and the Armenian government pays special attention to the strengthening of the mutually beneficial Armenian-Indian cooperation. In his words, the formal visit of Armenian President Robert Kocharian to India in 2005 and the visit of Indian Vice-President Bharion Singh Shekhavat to the RA also contributed the development of political dialogue between the two states. When discussing the trade and economic relations between Armenia and India, the parties noted the considerable increase of commodity turnover during the recent years. As for the using of the existing potential, Margaryan and Pandei noted the role of the Armenian-Indian intergovernmental commission, the 4th sitting of which will be held in Yerevan in spring 2006. Among the prospective directions of bilateral cooperation the interlocutors underscored IT, agriculture, education, culture, health and some others. Completing the meeting the Armenian Prime Minister voiced assurance that the Armenian-Indian mutually beneficial cooperation will dynamically develop and expressed readiness to assist the Indian diplomat in performing her mission in the republic of Armenia.![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan took to social media to thank his Lithuanian counterpart for the contribution.
