Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts lead the all-star cast of the family drama, which is directed by ER and The West Wing's John Wells from a script by Tracy Letts (Killer Joe). The ensemble film centers on the reunion of the Weston family following the disappearance of their father Beverly. Streep plays the strong-willed family matriarch Violet, while Roberts is her daughter Barbara. The supporting cast features Benedict Cumberbatch, Juliette Lewis, Ewan McGregor, Abigail Breslin, Dermot Mulroney, Margo Martindale, Chris Cooper and Sam Shepard. August: Osage County will open in US cinemas in November in time for Oscars season.
