Barev Yerevan addresses court to dispute city council election results

PanARMENIAN.Net - Barev Yerevan addressed the administrative court with a request to dispute the Central Election Commission’s decision on May 5 Yerevan city council elections, bloc member said.

Davit Sanasaryan told a press conference that the bloc urged for election recount to check the voting lists, rather that demand for increase in the number of votes.

He further slammed CEC’s decision on the election results, noting that the bloc reported on about 1500 violations.

“No decision has yet been taken on the bloc’s seats in the city council. But I think we must disclose the existing shortcomings,” Mr. Sanasaryan said.

According to the CEC decision, Barev Yerevan received 6 seats in the city council.
