Azeri military drills report stirs unfounded panic – defense ministry

PanARMENIAN.Net - Azerbaijani armed forces are conducting large-scale exercises near the contact line with Artsakh, Azeri media reported citing the country’s defense ministry. Some media articles even had the following headline, “Azerbaijan prepares for war".

In conversation with PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, Armenian defense ministry’s spokesman described the maneuvers as ordinary drills conducted several times a year.

“Armenia, too, regularly holds similar exercises,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said, adding that media reports on Azeri drills stir unfounded panic.
