Mammadyarov: No Document on Karabakh Settlement Yet

PanARMENIAN.Net - There is no document over settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, Azeri FM Elmar Mammadyarov stated in a conversation with journalists, when expressing his attitude towards OSCE Minsk Group Russian Co-Chair Yuri Merzlyakov. The Azeri FM does not agree with Yu. Merzlyakov's statement that a document of the kind will be ready before the meeting of the Azeri and Armenian Presidents scheduled in January. E. Mammadyarov said that discussions are held only over most important issues, «There is no document of the kind. However, there are some very important issues that need to be discussed.»

«During their stay in Baku the Co-Chairs spoke for the FMs to meet before the meeting between the Presidents. Now we are waiting for their proposals. However, time is necessary for that. The question has to be coordinated with the Armenian party as well. Time is also necessary to discuss core issues. Some patience is necessary. If we agree over core issues, then something may turn out. However, it is still early to speak about it,» E. Mammadyarov stated, reported APA.
