PanARMENIAN.Net - Prior to their sale this summer by London auctioneers Sotheby’s, a unique collection of works from some of the art world’s most renowned names will be exhibited in Moscow’s state exhibition hall, Novy Manezh, this weekend, The Moscow News said.

Notable pieces include paintings by Pablo Picasso, El Greco, Natalia Goncharova and Wassily Kandinsky, which had all previously belonged to private collectors, as well as works by the Swiss sculptor Alberto Giacometti.

In addition, a number of noteworthy Russian artworks valued in their entirety at $30 million will be on display, according to the director of the Russian Art department in London Jo Vickery.

The extensive and valuable collection will be on display at the state exhibition hall this Friday, May 17 and Saturday before being auctioned off in July.
