N. Korea fires short-range guided missiles into sea

PanARMENIAN.Net - North Korea on Saturday, May 18 fired three short-range guided missiles into the sea off the eastern coast of the Korean peninsula, South Korea's defense ministry said, according to The Wall Street Jounal.

A spokesman for the ministry said two guided-missile launches from the North were detected in the morning and a third one was spotted in the afternoon.

He said South Korea's government would hold a briefing on the launches later in the afternoon.
