EU-Armenia Action Plan Can Be Approved in Late February

PanARMENIAN.Net - Individual Action Plans of EU with Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan within the European Neighborhood Policy are expected to be approved during the EU Council for Common and Foreign Relations to be held in Brussels February 27-28. This is stated in a preliminary agenda of the EU Council meeting drawn up by Austria, which will preside the EU till June 30, 2006. Councils of EU cooperation with Armenia, Georgia and Azerbaijan are also expected to meet in Brussels February 27-28. It should be reminded that the first round of talks on working out the EU-Armenia Action Plan was held November 28, 2005. After the talks Armenian Deputy FM Armen Bayburdyan and Eurocommission South Caucasus and Central Asia Department Chief Kurt Juul stated the parties «are very content» with the talks and they plan to complete the working out of the Action plan «as soon as possible», reported Mediamax.
