Marion Cotillard’s “Two Days, One Night” goes to Sundance Selects

PanARMENIAN.Net - Sundance Selects has stepped in preemptively, acquiring U.S. rights to Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne’s Two Days, One Night, starring Marion Cotillard, which is currently in pre-production, The Hollywood Reporter said.

In addition to writing and directing, the Dardennes, Palme d’Or winners, will produce for Les Films Du Fleuve along with Denis Freyd for Archipel 35.

Cotillard will play a 30-year-old woman who, for two days and one night, searches, with the help of her husband, for colleagues prepared to sacrifice their bonuses so she can keep her job. The cast also will include Fabrizio Rongione and Olivier Gourmet.

"After a terrific experience working with Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne on their last film, The Kid With A Bike, we are thrilled to continue the partnership with Two Days, One Night. We believe the Dardennes are two of the best filmmakers working in film today and can't wait to see what they do with this brilliant screenplay and the always enchanting Marion Cotillard,” Jonathan Sehring, president of Sundance Selects/IFC Films, said.

The deal was negotiated by Arianna Bocco, senior vp of acquisitions and productions for Sundance Selects/IFC Films, with Carole Baraton for Wild Bunch on behalf of the filmmakers.
