22,8% growth recorded in Armenia’s export volume in 2013![]() May 20, 2013 - 16:12 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenia’s foreign trade turnover totaled $434.1 mln (AMD 180.7 bln) in April 2013 decreasing by 3% compared to the same period in 2012, according to updated statistical data. Export amounted to $113mln (AMD 47 bln) in April 2013, increasing by 22,8%. The export index totaled $454.7 mln (AMD 186,9 bln) in Jan-April 2013, with 2.8% growth reported. A 9,7% decrease was recorded in import bringing it to $ 321.1 mln (AMD 135.8 bln,) the RA National Statistical Service reported. The negative balance of foreign trade turnover amounted to $838.9 mln (AMD 344.4 bln) in January-April 2013 compared with the same period in 2012. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
