“I can say that we played very well in that crazy atmosphere that prevailed in Kharkiv. Chornomorets did everything they could. We expected just that: if we score first, the advantage will be on our side. In turn, we created a lot of chances. The team proved themselves very well. We provoked the opponents into making errors and capitalized on them, we played very spectacularly. We knew how to dictate our terms to the opponents, and almost throughout the encounter we controlled the ball,” Shakhtar official website quoted Lucescu as saying.

“For the game vs. Chornomorets, our strongest line-up took the field. This proves that we really wanted to win this trophy. After we were knocked out of the UEFA Champions League, this was my request. Perhaps, we made up for our fans’ offence by winning the league and Cup titles,” Lucescu said.
