Committee for Genocide 100th anniv. events formed in Russia![]() May 23, 2013 - 12:46 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian embassy in Moscow hosted a sitting of the committee for coordination of events dedicated to 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The sitting was attended by the Armenian ambassador to Russia Oleg Yesayan, bishop Ezras Nersisyan, Genocide Museum director Hayk Demoyan, as well as Russian politicians, MPs, heads of Armenian NGOs, scientists and experts. Ambassador Yesayan was further appointed as the head of the committee, with a program of events discussed. “The commemoration of this tragic date by Russian Armenians – representatives of the largest Armenian Diaspora worldwide – will determine the political response of the international community and Turkey as well,” Demoyan said. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Ararat Mirzoyan and Jeyhun Bayramov, have arrived in Washington. The CSTO budget for the current year requires adjustments due to the refusal of Yerevan to pay their share of contributions. Six total incidents have burned 19 old-growth trees.
