Expert says Russian FM’s remarks in context of Madrid Principles

PanARMENIAN.Net - No decisive developments will follow the meeting between Russian and Azerbaijani foreign ministers, military expert said.

David Jamalyan told a press conference that Azerbaijan has recently introduced the thesis about the inadmissibility of status quo preservation.

The expert further noted invasion of Artsakh as the status quo for Azerbaijan, underscoring the necessity to consider Russian Foreign Minister’s statements in the context of Madrid Principles.

“Madrid Principles are inadmissible for the Armenian side. As Deputy Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan said, only recognition of Artsakh will bring about a shift in status quo,” Mr. Jamalyan said.
