Armenia Representative Elected Deputy Chair of UN Human Rights Commission at 62nd SessionJanuary 17, 2006 - 13:39 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - January 16 the first organizational session to arrange for the 62nd session of the UN Human Rights Commission was held in Geneva, reported the Press Service of the Armenian MFA. Armenia's permanent representative to the UN in Geneva Zohrab Mnatsakanyan was unanimously elected Deputy Chair at the Commission's 62nd session. During the UN general reform the Human Rights Commission is to be substituted by the Human Rights Council, which will have more authorities. Thereupon the 62nd session of the Commission is highly important from the point of view of transition. Peruvian representative was elected to preside the session. The UN Human Rights Commission 62nd session will commence this March.
