Georgian Authorities to Promote Solving Problems of Armenian Diocese in GeorgiaJanuary 17, 2006 - 18:02 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - January 17 Catholicos of All Armenians Garegin II met with Georgian FM Gela Bezhuashvili accompanied by deputy FM of Armenia Gegham Gharibjanyan and Armenian and Georgian Ambassadors, reported the Press Service of the Holy Echmiadzin Chancellery. During the meeting Garegin II said he was content with development of cooperation and relations between Armenia and Georgia. The Catholicos turned to the situation in the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, saying he is sure all hardships will be overcome owing to fraternal love, mutual understanding and realization of centuries-old friendship between Armenian and Georgian peoples. In his turn the Georgian FM thanked Garegin II for the reception and conveyed regards and wishes of Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II. Bezhuashvili informed that Georgian authorities are trying to promote solution of problems experienced both by the Armenian Diocese and the religious field of Georgia.
