PM: Armenia ready to deepen relations with Norway![]() May 29, 2013 - 18:08 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan met with Norway’s outgoing ambassador Knut Houg. Prime Minister Sargsyan thanked the envoy for the work carried out, noting Armenia’s readiness to deepen relations with Norway. In this context, he stressed the importance of increasing the trade volume through joint programs. For his part, ambassador Houg pledged to further contribute to the development of Armenian-Norwegian ties, governmental press service reported. Yerevan has dismissed Turkey’s demand to shut down the Armenian nuclear power plant as “inappropriate”. Armenia will loan 2.9 billion drams to Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh), according to a draft government decision. The Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan has “strongly condemned” Armenia’s decision. Kerobyan has said that for the first time in the history of Armenia, the volume of foreign direct investments amounted to about $1 billion. Partner news |
