National Program to Fight Bird Flu ApprovedJanuary 19, 2006 - 14:51 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - During its recurrent session the Armenian Government approved the National Program to counteract to possible penetration of the avian influenza to Armenia, reported the Government Press Service. The program is worked out at the suggestion of World Bank specialists and is supplemented by an inter-departmental working group taking into account international requirements. The executive of Armenia has passed a decision, according to which the Government will coordinate program implementation in general. The epidemiological service at the Government of Armenia is provided a right to make changes and supplements to the program based on the current situation.
