"Transformers" helmer to adapt "Ghost Recon" vid game into filmJune 12, 2013 - 10:15 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Already turning "Transformers" into a hugely successful film franchise, Michael Bay is now tapped to do his magic for Warner Bros.' newest project. As AceShobiz revealed citing Variety Bay teams up with the studio for the first time to develop "Ghost Recon", the feature adaptation of Ubisoft's video game "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon". "Ubisoft's artistic vision and the Ghost Recon franchise's core tenets convinced me that we could build something special together. It's a unique title with very cool components - including a huge global canvas with which we will create an amazing film," says the 48-year-old filmmaker, whom Ubisoft's CEO Jean-Julien Baronnet believes to be "a master at action movies." Not only is Bay set to oversee the development, but he also has a chance to make it his directing vehicle. Ubisoft is currently looking for a scribe to work on the upcoming movie, and should Bay feel interested in the script, he can serve as its director too. As of now, Bay is busy preparing for the production of "Transformers 4", which is set to open on June 27, 2014. It will be headlined by new leading man Mark Wahlberg and villainized by Kelsey Grammer.
