Baku Met OSCE MG with Slogans "Down with Co-Chairs"

PanARMENIAN.Net - January 31 OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs Yuri Merzlyakov (Russia), Steven Mann (U.S.), Bernard Fassier (France) and Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Andrzej Kasprzyk arrived in Baku to prepare the meeting of Azerbaijani and Armenian Presidents Ilham Aliyev and Robert Kocharian in Paris. February 1 they met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov. During the meeting members of Organization for Karabakh Liberation tried to enter the Foreign Ministry yard carrying slogans "Freedom to Karabakh!" and "Down with the Co-chairs!" Approaching the ministry building, they were driven back by the police. Four activists have been arrested.



After the meeting with the Azerbaijani FM the Co-chairs went through the back door to avoid questions by the press, and went to visit President Ilham Aliyev to exchange views on the current stage of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and its prospects and discuss a number of issues of mutual interest, reported Azeri media.
