5 Libyan soldiers killed in clashes with armed protesters

PanARMENIAN.Net - Five soldiers were killed in clashes between Libyan special forces and armed protesters in the eastern city of Benghazi, an military official said on Saturday, June 15, according to Reuters.

"The clashes lasted from 2:00 am (8 p.m. EDT on Friday) until 6:00 am but are over now," said Colonel Mohammed Sharif of the special forces in Benghazi. "Five soldiers were killed."

It was not immediately clear who the protesters were and if any had been killed.
