U.S., EU launch negotiations for free-trade deal![]() June 17, 2013 - 20:49 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The United States and the European Union launched negotiations for the world's most ambitious free-trade deal on Monday, June 17 promising thousands of new jobs and accelerated growth on both sides of the Atlantic, Reuters said. "This is a once in a generation prize and we are determined to seize it," said British Prime Minister David Cameron, flanked by U.S. President Barack Obama and the presidents of the European Commission and the European Council. The first round of negotiations will take place in Washington in July, Obama said. It is expected to take at least 18 months to conclude the negotiations. Azerbaijani authorities report that they have already resettled 3,000 people in the Nagorno-Karabakh town of Stepanakert. On June 10, Azerbaijani President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev will leave for Turkey on a working visit. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev arrived in Moscow on April 22 to hold talks with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
