Kocharian Awaiting Meeting with Aliyev with Careful Optimism

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian, who is on formal visit to Sweden, stated today that "after the recent statements by Azeri officials he became less optimistic about the upcoming meeting with the Azerbaijani President." "To settle the Karabakh problem the parties should demonstrate political wish and take some risk. The statements Azeri officials made lately create an impression that Azerbaijan lacks this wish," Robert Kocharian said. He noted the recent statements by the Azerbaijani FM surprised the Armenian party very much however there is ground for very careful optimism. The Armenian President informed that in Paris he will meet not only with Azerbaijani President but also with French President Jacques Chirac, reported Mediamax.
