Kocharian: New Law on Citizenship to Be Ready by Mid 2006

PanARMENIAN.Net - Armenian President Robert Kocharian, who is paying a formal visit to Sweden at the moment, stated that a special working group is preparing a new edition of the Law on Citizenship. When addressing the Armenian Diaspora of Sweden the Armenian President reminded that with the adoption of the constitutional amendments Armenia adopted the institute of dual citizenship. The Armenian leader voiced hope that the revised law will be ready by autumn. "My attitude hasn't changed. I am convinced that Armenia is stronger with Diaspora than without it," Robert Kocharian said. He stressed that the struggle for the international recognition of the Armenian Genocide is the bright evidence of it, reported Mediamax.
