Morais' novel of the same title, the film centers on an Indian family that moves to Southern France and opens an Indian restaurant a hundred feet across the street from a Michelin-starred French restaurant owned by Madame Mallory. The French chef later reluctantly forms a mentoring bond with the family's son. "90210" and "Switched at Birth" actor Manish Dayal is also secured to star as Hassan Haji in the drama, which is slated to start production this fall in France and India. Serving as producers for the pic are Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Juliet Blake.
