Intensified Azeri sniper fire reported for past several daysAugust 6, 2013 - 23:00 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - The snipers at the Azerbaijani side have intensified firing along the whole frontline with Armenia, Defense Ministry’s spokesman said. “The Armenian army will take all the necessary retaliatory measures unless Azerbaijan stops escalating tension,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said. On August 5 night, serviceman Armenak Ayvazyan was wounded by an Azeri sniper when on duty in Aygepar village of Tavush province. When the soldier tried to leave the dangerous zone in the vehicle, Azeris continued firing and received a second wound. Currently, Ayvazyan is in hospital and his life is out of danger. On August 3, another Armenian serviceman, Saro Shahyan was wounded in Nerqin Karmiraghbyur village of Tavush province.
