PanARMENIAN.Net - By decision of Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan, the former chief architect of Yerevan, Narek Sargsyan, was appointed as chairman of the state committee of architecture at the RA government.

Earlier reports suggested that the police investigated cases of power abuse by Mr. Sargsyan, what resulted in destruction of the capital city’s cultural and historical monuments.

Sargsyan served as Yerevan’s chief architect from 1999 to 2004 and then was granted the post again in 2011.
