ALMA to host artist Gourgen Manoukian’s exhibit![]() August 9, 2013 - 14:44 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Gourgen Manoukian: Celebrating 50 years in Art exhibition will open at the Armenian Library and Museum of America (ALMA) on August 27 and will run through October 27. Gourgen Manoukian, born in Yerevan, exhibited his work throughout the Soviet Union. On arrival in the U.S., he continued working in a broad range of media painting sea and landscapes, still-life and architectural renderings. His landscapes reflect his memories of Armenia, featuring converging lines of earth and sky and the alternation of shadow and sunlight. Ara Aivazian said Azerbaijan continues the traditions of Turkey after seizing territories and forced Armenians out. The creative crew of the Public TV had chosen 13-year-old Malena as a participant of this year's contest. She called on others to also suspend their accounts over the companies’ failure to tackle hate speech.
