Sony rolls out PS Vita TV at Tokyo Game Show (video)![]() ![]() PanARMENIAN.Net - Sony is yet to confirm whether PS Vita TV or the redesigned PlayStation Vita will be launching in the West, Digital spy said. In a statement to Digital Spy, a Sony spokesperson said: "We've not made any announcement about whether the 2000 series & VITA TV will be releasing in the UK / Europe." The new hardware enables users to play Vita games on their television sets using a DualShock 3 controller. Measuring at 6cm by 10cm, the device also supports PS4 remote play, as well as video streaming services. PS Vita TV accepts Vita memory and game cards, while users will also have access to more than 1,300 Vita, PSP and PSOne games. PS Vita TV will debut in Japan on November 14, priced at 9,480 yen (£61 / $95). A second version containing a DualShock 3 controller and a memory card will also be available. A Western release is expected to follow, although launch dates and pricing are still to be confirmed. During the same conference, Sony announced a PlayStation Vita redesign. The new model will be 20% thinner and 15% lighter, and replaces the original's OLED screen with an LED one. Battery life will be improved by one hour, with a total of six hours' play time, and will come with 1GB of on-board memory included.
