CELEBRATION OF CENTENARY OF FAMOUS ARMENIAN COMPOSER ARAM KHACHATURIAN BEGINS IN MOSCOW

PanARMENIAN.Net - The concert of the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra on the stage of the Bolshoi Theatre of Moscow on January 17, 2003 will symbolize the start of a cycle of jubilee measures of Aram Khachaturian's centennial celebration. Russian president Vladimir Putin and Armenian president Robert Kocharian will be present at the concert. The organizers of the concert are the ministries of culture of the Russia and Armenia, the embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Russia and the International Culture Center. After the Moscow concert the orchestra will leave for the United Arab Emirates, where jubilee measures devoted to the composer will also be held.
