“Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug” unveils new character posters

PanARMENIAN.Net - New character posters have been released for The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Digital Spy said.

Warner Bros has unveiled seven promo pictures online for the upcoming fantasy sequel's main characters, including Martin Freeman as Bilbo Baggins.

Returning characters Gandalf (Ian McKellen), Legolas (Orlando Bloom), and Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage) also feature.

New characters Bard (Luke Evans), Thranduil (Lee Pace), and Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly) complete the lineup of posters.

Peter Jackson's JRR Tolkien adaptation, a follow-up to last year's An Unexpected Journey, will see Bilbo Baggins seeking to recover the dwarves' gold from dragon Smaug (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch).

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug will be released on December 13, with final film There and Back Again following in December 2014.
