PanARMENIAN.Net - Hayao Miyazaki is working on a samurai-themed manga.

The Studio Ghibli founder has been revealed to be drawing the comic following his retirement from filmmaking, Digital Spy reports citing Anime News Network.

"I think he will serialise a manga," Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki told NTV. "From the beginning, he likes drawing about his favourite things. That's his stress relief."

When asked by the host whether Miyazaki likes sengoku jidai no chanbara (samurai swordfighting stories from before the unification of Japan), Suzuki said: "That's what he is drawing now. He'll get angry if I talk too much. Let's stop talking about this."

Miyazaki announced in September that The Wind Rises will be his last film.

The filmmaker previously worked on the Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind manga.
