Amazon to roll out Kindle Paperwhite in early 2014: reportNovember 25, 2013 - 11:32 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Amazon is reportedly planning to release a next-generation Kindle Paperwhite eReader sometime early next year. As Digital Spy reveals citing TechCrunch, the device could land in Q2 of 2014 with several hardware improvements, including an upgraded high resolution screen. It's thought that the device will go from a 212 ppi screen to 300 ppi, making it a strong competitor for the Kobo Aura HD, which has 265 ppi. The publication also claims to have seen a prototype of the eReader made of "matte glass" and featuring a rear power button as well as chamfered edges. An ambient light sensor is also believed to be on board, which will apparently adjust the device's light gradually according to the light in the room. A new custom-built font is said to be featured, on top of hyphenation to get rid of awkward right hand margins. The latest Kindle Paperwhite (second-generation) was released in October, featuring new display technology with higher contrast, a faster processor and the latest touch technology.
