UK urges Armenian, Azeri leaders to work towards Karabakh settlement

PanARMENIAN.Net - The UK Minister for Europe welcomed the November 19 meeting between Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Vienna.

“I welcome the meeting between President Aliyev of Azerbaijan and President Sargsyan of Armenia. This meeting, facilitated by the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs and the first since January 2012, marks a positive step towards restarting regular and substantive discussions between leaders. We encourage both Presidents to build on the Vienna meeting and work actively towards a peaceful and long lasting solution of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” David Lidington said, according to a press release.
