Armenian Deputy FM advises Davutoglu to visit Genocide memorial![]() December 9, 2013 - 12:17 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan advises Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu to visit the Genocide victims memorial in Yerevan. “Instead of making provocative statements capable of undermining the peace process in the South Caucasus, Davutoglu would be better advised to commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide,” the official said. As he noted, Ankara can promote ties with Yerevan by ratifying the 2009 Armenian-Turkish protocols without preconditions. “Turley’s recognition of Genocide and opening the border with Armenia may promote establishment of civilized ties with the regional states,” Kocharyan concluded. ![]() ![]() Grigoryan added that the situation around the world and particularly in the region is very difficult. The Armenian Defense Ministry has denied Azerbaijan's accusations of violating the ceasefire.
