Samsung announces 4.7-inch Galaxy Core AdvanceDecember 16, 2013 - 17:47 AMT PanARMENIAN.Net - Samsung has announced its latest smartphone called the Galaxy Core Advance. Samsung says that the new device has a “meaningful design” that is intended to extend the Galaxy technology to more users. Presumably that means this will be a cheaper smartphone, but pricing is unannounced, SlashGear reports. The smartphone has a 4.7-inch WVGA touchscreen and a Soft Feel coating back cover. Samsung says that the back cover is soft to the touch making it more comfortable for users to grip. The smartphone has dedicated buttons for the voice recorder, camera, volume, menu, home, and power buttons. The dedicated buttons are included to make the phone easy to use for those who are less comfortable with a touchscreen, Samsung says. The Galaxy Core Advance also features Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with GLONASS, and NFC technology with S Beam making it easy to share information. The phone also has a number of Samsung smart features. Those features include S Voice, S Translator, Sound & Shot, Group Play, and Easy Mode. The processor inside the smartphone is a 1.2GHz dual core. The phone measures 133.3 x 70.5 x 9.7 mm and weighs 145g. The processor is paired with 1GB of RAM and the Advance has 8GB of internal storage. Storage can be expanded with memory cards up to 64GB. Power comes from a 2000 mAh battery and the camera is a 5MP unit that can record VGA video. The phone will be offered in pearl white and deep blue colors. The operating system is Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Related links: Top stories Yerevan will host the 2024 edition of the World Congress On Information Technology (WCIT).
